We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Administrator with expertise in VMware, Dell VxRail, and Nutanix to enhance our dynamic infrastructure operations. This role involves supporting, building proof-of-concepts, documenting, and optimizing operational efficiency. You will gain exposure to fundamental infrastructure and network engineering principles, with a specific focus on managing Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, preferably VxRail. Responsibilities include administering backup and restoration using Avamar and Data Domain systems, alert monitoring, and managing incidents and changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular health checks and performance tuning on VxRail clusters to ensure peak availability and operation.
• Implement emergency updates and patches for VxRail systems to mitigate critical vulnerabilities and performance issues.
• Manage and maintain Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, with a preference for VxRail, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and proactive system management.
• Oversee backup and restoration processes using Avamar and Data Domain, including configuration, monitoring, verification, troubleshooting, and storage management.
• Diagnose and resolve high-severity incidents impacting VxRail infrastructure, escalating to vendor support when necessary.
• Execute immediate recovery operations for critical systems via Avamar in cases of data loss or corruption.
• Monitor Avamar backup schedules and real-time alerts to address any anomalies affecting data integrity.
• Respond swiftly to P1 alerts regarding Data Domain disk failures or capacity issues, ensuring data restoration capabilities are maintained.
• Investigate and resolve high-priority storage bottlenecks within Data Domain systems impacting service levels.
• Manage urgent data replication tasks to guarantee data availability and business continuity during disaster scenarios.
