Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to build our new website from scratch. This is a project-based role requiring US working hours (5:30 PM - 2:30 AM IST). An immediate joiner is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate existing site data from Wix to WordPress, including all content, pages, images, forms, and metadata with a complete redirect map using 301s to preserve traffic.
• Build custom themes and Gutenberg blocks (block.json, React/JSX, ACF) based on Figma designs without relying on page builders like Elementor or Divi.
• Manage hosting environments, including staging setups, DNS, SSL, email records, CDN integration, and backups.
• Troubleshoot technical issues such as broken pages, 404s, form failures, Search Console errors, indexing problems, and speed drops.
• Optimize performance to ensure Core Web Vitals compliance (LCP < 2.5s, INP < 200ms, CLS < 0.1).
• Add schema markup, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and canonical tags for SEO and AI tool visibility.
• Develop reusable patterns to enable non-developers to add new pages easily.
• Maintain security via 2FA, user roles, firewalls, and plugin updates.

We're Looking For:

You have at least 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience. You can turn designs into live sites from scratch using custom code. You understand basic SEO principles to ensure search engines find the site easily. You are proactive in fixing issues without constant supervision, communicate clearly in English, and can work US hours.

Nice-to-Haves:

• B2B or SaaS experience building websites for US clients.
• Proficiency with tracking tools like GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
• Familiarity with deployment workflows using WP-CLI, Composer, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience managed hosting providers like WP Engine, Kinsta, or Cloudways.
• Headless WordPress or REST API development skills.
