Wordpress Developer

Brainwonders, a leading edutech company based in Borivali East, Mumbai, is looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with 2-3 years of experience. This full-time role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionalities, with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.

Key responsibilities include developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, customizing and optimizing existing ones, ensuring website performance, speed, and security, and integrating third-party APIs. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging WordPress issues, collaborating with design and content teams, and maintaining existing websites. Ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and implementing SEO best practices are also crucial.

Required skills include 2-3 years of WordPress development experience, proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, and strong experience in theme and plugin development. Familiarity with WordPress hooks, filters, and REST API, knowledge of page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg), and experience with Git are essential. Understanding of SEO best practices, WooCommerce, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience with headless WordPress development (React, Next.js), web hosting knowledge (cPanel, AWS), CI/CD pipelines, UX/UI principles, and Agile methodologies. Experience with Shopify website creation is a plus.
