Web Developer (WordPress, WooCommerce & Shopify) - Chennai
Trikon Telesoft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated Web Developer with 1-3 years of experience for an on-site position in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This full-time, permanent role operates on a shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
About the Role:
As a Web Developer, you will be instrumental in developing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce websites using WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify. Your responsibilities will include translating UI/UX wireframes into functional, visually appealing web solutions, encompassing both front-end and back-end development. You will customize themes and apps, and optimize websites for peak performance and search engine visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain websites on WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify platforms.
- Develop and customize WordPress plugins using PHP and adhering to WordPress coding standards.
- Create WooCommerce-compatible functionality snippets.
- Build custom post types, widgets, shortcodes, and custom elements for page builders.
- Utilize strong knowledge of MySQL and WordPress global variables.
- Customize and integrate themes and plugins for e-commerce stores, including custom Shopify sections using Liquid and WooCommerce extensions.
- Convert UI/UX wireframes into responsive, interactive web pages.
- Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Gather and refine specifications/requirements based on technical and business needs.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, content creators, and marketing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of professional web development experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Working knowledge of PHP and JavaScript.
- Proven experience with WordPress Core (including WooCommerce theme/plugin development) and Shopify (theme development and customization using Liquid, app integration, and API usage).
- Ability to leverage AI-powered platforms to enhance productivity.
- Basic understanding of SEO and its application to web development.
- Familiarity with eCommerce best practices, including product management, checkout flows, and payment integration for both WooCommerce and Shopify.
- Experience with Shopify App integrations, Shopify APIs, and basic use of JSON and Liquid.
- Ability to deliver robust solutions from technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other image-editing tools.
