WordPress Developer

OnAir Digital Pvt. Ltd., a leading digital agency in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is seeking a talented WordPress Developer with 2-3 years of professional experience. This role is integral to designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and consistently deliver exceptional, pixel-perfect, responsive, and SEO-optimized websites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development and ongoing maintenance of WordPress websites, utilizing custom themes and plugins.
• Customize themes using popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg to meet specific client needs.
• Contribute to both informative and eCommerce (WooCommerce) website projects.
• Ensure all developed websites are fully mobile-responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for peak performance.
• Integrate essential third-party APIs, payment gateways, and CRM tools as required by project specifications.
• Implement fundamental SEO techniques, including metadata optimization, schema markup, sitemap management, and speed optimization.
• Manage website migrations, implement regular backups, and configure hosting environments (e.g., cPanel, AWS, Hostinger).
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve website issues, plugin conflicts, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, content writers, and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and utilize version control systems.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong command of WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi.
• Proven experience with WooCommerce setup, configuration, and customization.
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization tools (e.g., LiteSpeed, WP Rocket, Cloudflare).
• Familiarity with development tools and environments including Git, FTP, and various hosting platforms.
• A proactive problem-solving attitude and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience developing with custom post types and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Exposure to Shopify, React.js, or headless WordPress implementations is a significant advantage.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
