WordPress Developer - 1-2 Years Experience in Ahmedabad

PenguinPeak Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic WordPress Developer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This full-time, work-from-office position focuses on developing high-quality, custom WordPress solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch, adhering to design specifications and project requirements.
• Create and maintain custom WordPress plugins, widgets, and solutions utilizing Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Leverage PHP, MySQL, and WordPress hooks, filters, and APIs to build custom backend functionality.
• Customize and extend existing WordPress plugins to meet specific project needs.
• Develop and customize WooCommerce websites, including product management, checkout processes, and plugin integrations.
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party services, such as payment gateways and CRMs.
• Utilize WordPress CLI (WP-CLI) and follow established development workflows for efficient development and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
• Ensure all developed websites adhere to best coding standards and WordPress development best practices.

Technical Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
• Proven experience with custom WordPress theme development.
• Proficiency in building custom WordPress plugins, widgets, and ACF-based solutions.
• Solid backend development skills, including PHP, MySQL, WordPress hooks, filters, and APIs.
• Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
• Familiarity with API integrations, including REST APIs and third-party services.
• Knowledge of WordPress CLI (WP-CLI) and standard development workflows.
• Ability to customize and enhance existing WordPress plugins.

Performance & Optimization

• Mandatory ability to optimize websites for speed, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of caching mechanisms, database optimization, and performance improvement techniques.
• Experience developing fast, secure, and scalable WordPress websites.

Added Advantage

• Experience with Shopify Liquid or Shopify theme customization is a plus.
