Wireless R&D Systems Engineer

About the Role

The Wireless Research and Development (WRD / Systems Engineering) team at Qualcomm India is seeking passionate individuals to join our system design efforts. You will work closely with hardware, software, and test teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions. This role involves conceptualizing novel algorithms for WWAN, WiFi, and BT chipsets and standards, defining implementation details, evaluating performance benefits, and diagnosing system-level issues across RF, hardware, and software boundaries. We are looking for creative, enthusiastic innovators comfortable defining the implementation of various system blocks.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design algorithms for wireless communication systems (WWAN, WiFi, BT).
• Propose and define implementation details for system blocks.
• Evaluate and analyze system performance benefits.
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues across RF, hardware, and software interfaces.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware, software, and test teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of Systems Engineering or relevant work experience.
• Option 2: Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or relevant work experience.
• Option 3: PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or relevant work experience.
• Option 4: Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Option 5: 4+ years of industry experience in relevant fields such as Wireless communication, Signal processing, RF/Front-end engineering, Standards participation, Architecture Engineering, FW/DSP development with systems algorithms exposure, Systems Engineering, or Systems Test Engineering.
