Wireless Network Engineer

Dabba Network is seeking a results-driven Wireless Network Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise wireless infrastructures and Cisco wireless controllers. This role involves advanced L2/L3 support, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (e.g., 5508, 5520, 9800 series) and Cisco Access Points (e.g., 2700/2800/3700/3800/9120/IW3700). You will be responsible for optimizing wireless performance, resolving complex connectivity issues, and managing technologies such as CAPWAP/LWAPP, FlexConnect, and Mobility Express. A key aspect of the role includes RF performance analysis using RRM, DCA, TPC, and CleanAir, along with detecting and mitigating interference and rogue APs. You will perform deep-dive network analysis using Wireshark and packet captures, and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, VLAN, and switching issues on Catalyst 9200/9300 switches. Security is paramount; you will support and troubleshoot 802.1X, EAP, AAA, RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication workflows, and integrate with Cisco ISE for profiling, guest access, and secure WLAN architectures (WPA2/WPA3, PSK/EAP). While not the primary focus, secondary responsibilities include automating administrative tasks using Python and Shell scripting, supporting Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments, managing LDAP user accounts, and assisting with SQL database operations. REST API testing using XML and Robot Framework is also part of the scope. Monitoring network performance via Cisco Prime Infrastructure and ISE dashboards, and preparing RCA reports and documentation are essential. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in wireless networking, strong knowledge of Cisco WLCs, APs, RF technologies, WLAN standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), and a solid understanding of routing basics. Experience with 802.1X, AAA, RADIUS/TACACS+, Cisco ISE, Wireshark, scripting (Python, Shell), Linux administration, and REST API testing is required. A CCNA certification is mandatory, with additional Cisco wireless/security certifications being a plus. This is a full-time, work-from-office position based in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India.
