Full Job Description
Join Johnson Controls in Pune, Maharashtra, India, as a Wintel Support Specialist and contribute to a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional technical support. Your core responsibility will be to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues within Windows environments for our users.
What you will do
As a Wintel Support Specialist at JCI, you will be instrumental in providing top-tier technical support to our users. This involves managing the entire lifecycle of user-reported issues.
How you will do it:
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 end-user support, effectively managing ticket queues and escalating complex issues to appropriate teams.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and associated applications to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist users with hardware and software troubleshooting through various channels, including phone, email, and remote access.
- Meticulously document all support interactions and resolutions within the IT service management system for future reference and analysis.
- Play a key role in onboarding new users by setting up and configuring their workstations.
- Contribute to the maintenance and accurate inventory management of IT hardware and software assets.
- Collaborate proactively with other IT team members to continuously improve support processes and enhance overall user satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- 0-1 year of experience in IT support or a related technical field.
- A foundational understanding of Windows operating systems and common software applications.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- The ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IT service management tools is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified are a plus.
