Web Team Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Web Team Lead to spearhead our Laravel development efforts. You will be responsible for leading a team of developers in planning, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using modern PHP practices with Laravel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and optimize database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL) to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and security measures across the team.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and project managers to deliver top-quality solutions.
• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services such as Google, Facebook, AWS, and payment gateways.
• Manage project timelines, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure the successful delivery of features in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Perform performance tuning, security hardening, and DevOps enhancements to streamline operations.
• Act as a technical mentor to junior developers, providing guidance and training as required.
• Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines are effectively implemented and maintained for seamless deployments.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and experience:

• Languages & Frameworks: Expertise in Laravel, PHP (OOP & MVC), MySQL/PostgreSQL. Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and frameworks like Vue.js or React.js.
• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful API and GraphQL design principles.
• Version Control & Tools: Proficiency in Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows; familiarity with caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
• Infrastructure: Experience with Docker, AWS, and containerized deployments. Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
• Security: Deep knowledge of authentication and security protocols including OAuth, JWT, CSRF, and XSS protection.
• Testing & CI/CD: Understanding of TDD and automated testing tools (PHPUnit, Dusk); hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• CMS Platforms: Experience or familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal is preferred.
