About the Role

The Auditor I position is an entry-level opportunity focused on auditing client data to generate high-quality recoverable claims. Under supervision, you will identify and input recovery claims, voids, and other over/underpayment types. Accurate documentation of facts, information, and conclusions is essential for validation. You will communicate audit recommendations to a supervisory auditor for review and continuous learning.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or related fields.
• 1 to 6 years of relevant experience in auditing, billing, accounts receivables, or data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Access experience is a plus.
• A strong interest in working with large datasets and various databases.
• Retail industry experience is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Audit Execution

• Perform end-to-end post-audits of retail merchandise transactions, including pricing, promotions, markdowns, inventory adjustments, and returns.
• Analyze full-population Point of Sale (POS), inventory, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data to detect exceptions and margin leakage.
• Validate audit findings with business stakeholders and quantify the financial impact.

Vendor & Cost Recovery

• Review vendor invoices, contracts, allowances, and rebates.
• Identify missed credits, overcharges, and instances of non-compliance.
• Support vendor recovery efforts, chargebacks, and claim resolution processes.
