About the Role: Auditor I

The Auditor I is an entry-level position focused on auditing client data to identify and generate recoverable claims. Responsibilities include documenting audit findings, identifying over/underpayments, and communicating audit recommendations for validation. This role requires close supervision and offers continuous learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Post-Audit Execution

• Conduct comprehensive post-audits of retail merchandise transactions, including pricing, promotions, markdowns, inventory adjustments, and returns.
• Analyze Point of Sale (POS), inventory, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data to detect exceptions and margin leakage.
• Validate audit findings with business stakeholders and quantify the financial impact.

Vendor & Cost Recovery

• Examine vendor invoices, contracts, allowances, and rebates.
• Identify opportunities for missed credits, overcharges, and instances of non-compliance.
• Support vendor recovery initiatives, chargebacks, and claim resolution processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 to 6 years of relevant experience in auditing, billing, accounts receivables, or data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft Access knowledge is a plus.
• A strong interest in working with large datasets and various databases.
• Retail industry experience is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
