The Vice President of Capital Markets, Canada, is a pivotal role focused on identifying and engaging corporate clients to drive sales of EQ solutions. This position is instrumental in expanding market share and cultivating robust, long-term client relationships within the Canadian market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute sales strategies under the guidance of the Regional Director of Sales to achieve individual quotas and contribute to regional and national sales targets.
- Engage directly with senior management teams of prospective corporate clients and key referral partners, including Pre-IPO Companies, Public Companies, Law firms, and other influential entities in the Canadian capital markets.
- Manage the full sales cycle for new customers, from lead generation to closing deals, through direct sales or collaborative co-selling efforts across business lines and geographical territories.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams throughout the sales and solutioning processes.
- Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Conduct business development activities to establish new customer and partner relationships by building and maintaining prospect and customer lists based on strategic market data and other lead generation sources.
- Meticulously document all sales activities within Salesforce.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and develop expertise on market trends, competitor activities, and EQ's product portfolio.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling complex solutions, with a strong preference for experience in financial services, financial technology, and payments sectors within Canada.
- 5-10 years of a demonstrated, proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- A results-oriented individual with a natural ability to open doors and build rapport with key stakeholders.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills, complemented by robust business acumen.
- An exceptional communicator with excellent negotiation, persuasive, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels, including executive-level presentations.
- Proficient in managing both short-term and long-term strategic sales cycles.
- Highly driven and enthusiastic, with a commitment to achieving high sales targets and succeeding under demanding pressure with minimal supervision.
- Exhibits strong character, integrity, and work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A College Degree is preferred.
