Vice President

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Pershing Team in Chennai, TN, India. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-volume, low-latency .Net & Angular based applications. You will lead technical design, development, and documentation for cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, providing technical leadership for application front-ends and user interfaces.

Responsibilities include engaging with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand platform requirements, actively participating in code reviews, integrating software components into functional systems, and applying security and privacy design principles. You will ensure application performance levels are met through coding, testing, implementation, and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. We require 10-16 years of experience as a Java & Angular developer, with proven proficiency in .Net, SQL, Kafka, App Engine, API, and Angular. A strong understanding of both frontend and backend development is essential, along with knowledge of Micro frontend frameworks and experience implementing Single Sign-On.

Familiarity with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle), SQL, No-SQL or unstructured databases is a plus. Experience with MVC patterns, JDBC, and RESTful web services is required. Understanding of microservices-based, scalable architectures and on-premise, container-based cloud frameworks is also necessary. Strong experience in SDLC and DevOps processes, including CI/CD tools and Git, is vital. The ability to investigate and resolve production issues using code and Splunk logs is expected.
