About the Role: VAS Operation Support at Ericsson in Noida, India
Ericsson is seeking a dedicated VAS Operation Support professional to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. This critical role focuses on ensuring the seamless operation and high availability of Value-Added Services (VAS) nodes. You will be instrumental in managing alarms, resolving hardware, software, and configuration issues, and configuring all VAS domain nodes. Furthermore, you will provide essential emergency and outage support for VAS and IMS nodes, products, and the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operation of GSM and TCP/IP networks.
- Manage specific VAS network activities within the Mobile GSM (2G, 3G, 4G) network.
- Administer VAS and Support Systems, including SMSC, MMSC, CRBT, OTA, LI, PCRF, and Vo-Wifi.
- Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, including Planned Maintenance activities like health checks and backups.
- Handle Problem Escalations and Follow-ups (CSR).
- Conduct Performance Analysis and Investigation.
- Interface effectively with customers, third-party providers (3PP), and various Ericsson departments.
- Ensure smooth and quality system/service handover from projects.
- Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for configuration, hardware, and software faults.
- Manage and report outages/emergencies.
- Adhere to established processes and undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Educational background: BE/Btech, BCA/MCA.
- Experience: 8-13 years of experience as a System Engineer in a mobile network environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of GSM, SS7, Sigtran, TCP/IP, SCCP, SCTP, IMS, and Diameter protocol.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Linux, Solaris).
- Understanding of IP basics.
- Experience with PCRF, SMSC, and Provisioning systems.
- Familiarity with Rx Interface using Diameter for VoLTE.
- Knowledge of VOIP/IMS Call Flows.
This role requires 24/7 support on a rotational shift basis.
