VAS Developer - LinkIT360 - Delhi, India

LinkIT360 is expanding its operations in India and is looking for a highly capable VAS Developer to join their team. This role is crucial for the development and delivery of telecom Value Added Services (VAS) solutions, collaborating with regional partners, and showcasing LinkIT's technical expertise in the Indian market.

As a VAS Developer, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of telecom VAS applications, from design and development to integration and maintenance. This includes working with Service Delivery Platforms (SDP), charging systems, messaging gateways, and various partner integrations to create and manage revenue-generating digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain telecom VAS applications including SMS, USSD, IVR, and subscription-based services.
• Integrate VAS platforms with key systems such as SDP, Intelligent Network (IN), Online Charging System (OCS), billing, CRM, and partner systems.
• Implement and manage the subscription lifecycle, covering activation, renewal, retry, suspension, and termination processes.
• Develop and maintain APIs and interfaces utilizing REST, SOAP, SMPP, and HTTP protocols.
• Manage charging and billing workflows, including direct charging, subscription charging, and implementing retry logic.
• Implement business rules and policies such as service caps, retry windows, and blacklist/whitelist functionalities.
• Provide support for System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and high availability of systems in a revenue-critical environment.
• Produce necessary technical documentation and assist in the onboarding of VAS partners and content providers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 2-7 years of experience in telecom VAS or subscription-based services.
• Hands-on experience with SMS, USSD, IVR, and managing the VAS subscription lifecycle.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Golang, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Solid experience with REST/SOAP/SMPP/HTTP APIs.
• Experience integrating with SDP, IN, OCS, billing, CRM, and partner systems.
• Strong understanding of charging and billing flows, including retry logic.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production environments, with proven troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Basic NoSQL knowledge is considered a plus.
• Experience working in a telco operator or telco vendor environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of payment gateways, message brokers, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, or monitoring tools is advantageous.
• Willingness to support off-hours and on-call duties as required.
