Instinctive Studio, a leading digital solutions provider in Bangalore, India, is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer. This role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing production-ready web and product interfaces. This is initially a 3-month contract position with the potential for conversion to full-time employment. We are looking for a designer with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of design principles, and the drive to deliver high-quality work consistently.
Job Responsibilities
As a UX/UI Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the design of multiple products from conceptualization through to developer handoff.
Product & Interface Design
- Create high-fidelity user interfaces for web applications and marketing websites using Figma.
- Develop and maintain design components, leverage Auto Layout, design for responsive states, and prepare detailed specifications for developers.
- Translate complex product requirements and user needs into intuitive and effective interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure design integrity and seamless implementation.
Visual Design & Brand Work
- Develop crisp visual assets that align with brand direction, including social media posts, pitch decks, and campaign graphics.
- Manage and evolve design systems across various projects.
- Ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints, including web, product, and collateral materials.
UX & Iteration
- Conduct lightweight user research, such as interviews and usability tests, as needed.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance data.
- Focus on shipping frequent small improvements rather than waiting for major redesigns.
- Clearly document design decisions to facilitate smooth handoffs and ongoing development.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional design experience, gained from agency, startup, or significant freelance work.
- A strong portfolio showcasing design taste, with emphasis on typography, hierarchy, spacing, and adherence to real-world constraints.
- Proficiency in Figma, including experience with components, variants, and design tokens.
- A solid understanding of responsive web design principles and common interaction patterns.
- Comfortable and effective collaboration with developers, providing clear specifications and responsive breakpoints, and performing QA on staging environments.
- Ability to iterate quickly, accept feedback constructively, and approach mockups with flexibility.
Nice to Have
- Experience with motion design (Lottie/After Effects).
- Basic prototyping skills in Framer or Webflow.
- Experience managing design systems at scale.
- Familiarity with marketing funnels or product analytics to inform design decisions.
- Illustration or 3D design skills.
