UX Designer II
Full Job Description
Job Purpose
As a User Experience (UX) Designer II at TD SYNNEX, you will be responsible for crafting innovative customer experiences for business transactions and management. You will leverage strong design principles, UX best practices, and business acumen to create intuitive and effective user interfaces. Your role will involve collaborative whiteboarding, creating wireframes, and developing prototypes to communicate design concepts. You will work closely with front-end developers to bring designs to life, ensuring they meet both business and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Design wireframes and high-fidelity mockups (15%)
- Participate in design critiques (15%)
- Write, maintain, and ensure the consistent application of a design and/or interface style guide (5%)
- Collaborate with UI Developers to build and maintain pattern libraries (5%)
- Create prototypes of designs using tools like InVision (10%)
- Engage with external and/or internal stakeholders on project strategy, ensuring designs align with processes and support relevant content representing the TD SYNNEX voice (15%)
- Lead research activities and utilize data and/or feedback to influence redesigns and validate designs (15%)
- Build project plans, ensure activities are on track, and collaborate with the team and leadership on project status (20%)
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Meet attendance and punctuality standards
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred fields of study include Human Factors, Web/Graphic Design, or related disciplines.
- Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed.
- Proficiency with common office equipment.
- Ability to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey necessary information clearly.
- Ability to create and conduct formal presentations.
- Possesses strong leadership skills, with a willingness to lead, generate new ideas, and be assertive.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
- Adaptability to change and ability to adjust as needed.
- Ability to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting business activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build solid, effective working relationships.
- Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technology.
- Proficiency in relevant computer systems and applications at an intermediate to advanced level.
Working Conditions
- Professional office environment.
- Frequent travel required (approximately 25%).
