UX Designer

About the Role

Picarro is seeking a talented UX Designer to join our expanding product and engineering team based in Bengaluru. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting intuitive and efficient user experiences for our sophisticated web-based applications, which are vital for scientists, engineers, and enterprise clients. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to transform complex product requirements into clear user flows, detailed wireframes, and interactive prototypes, primarily using Figma.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of user interfaces and user experiences for web applications and internal tools.
• Develop comprehensive wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes utilizing Figma.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to deeply understand user needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Actively participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the design system and UI components.
• Ensure all designs are consistent, highly usable, and accurately aligned with product requirements.
• Provide essential support to the frontend development team during the implementation phase through close collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
• Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Figma for creating wireframes and prototypes.
• A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and established usability best practices.
• Proven ability to articulate design concepts clearly through sketches, wireframes, and compelling presentations.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your UX thinking, design process, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the principles and application of design systems and component-based design.
• Exposure to or understanding of HTML, CSS, or other frontend development concepts.
• Prior experience working on data visualization tools, dashboards, or complex enterprise software.
• Experience in collaborative environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
