User Interface Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Mobile UI/UX Designer for our consumer AI startup. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of HSR Layout, Bangalore (with HQ connection to Gurugram).

About the Opportunity

You will own the design process end-to-end—from user research and wireframing to polished high-fidelity screens—working directly with our founding team. We need a designer who obsesses over pixels, understands deep user journeys, and can transform complex product ideas into intuitive, beautiful interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Owning the end-to-end design process for our mobile app (research, wireframing, prototyping, UI delivery).
• Conducting user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to drive data-informed decisions.
• Crafting intuitive user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns tailored specifically for mobile platforms.
• Designing high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes using Figma with a focus on components and auto-layout.
• Building and maintaining a consistent design system, component library, and style guide from the ground up.
• Collaborating closely with Flutter developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs.
• Rapidly iterating on designs based on user feedback, analytics data, and evolving product goals.
• Designing micro-interactions and animations that elevate the overall user experience without compromising usability.

What We're Looking For

• A strong portfolio showcasing mobile app UI/UX design for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, including advanced usage of components, auto-layout, and prototyping features.
• Deep understanding of core mobile design principles and adherence to platform guidelines (Material Design & Apple HIG).
• Proven experience conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing sessions.
• The ability to create scalable design systems that grow with the product.
• A strong grasp of typography, color theory, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Skill in translating ambiguous product requirements into clear, elegant design solutions.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where requirements evolve quickly.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for AI-driven or data-heavy products is considered a strong plus.
• A basic understanding of how Flutter development works will be beneficial.
