Full Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Consultant Specialist with extensive Unix Shell Scripting experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications. This role involves owning the full application lifecycle, ensuring robust service delivery, monitoring SLAs/KPIs, managing incidents, and leading process automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end application design using a mix of cloud-native, 3rd party, and on-premise technologies.
- Monitor performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs) proactively to resolve issues.
- Oversight incident resolution and root cause analysis with preventive measures.
- Drive service improvements in system reliability and customer experience via automation and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a Development Engineer.
- Expertise in Unix Shell Scripting.
- Proficiency with Oracle/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL.
- Skill in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Ansible for automated deployment.
- Familiarity with scheduling mechanisms such as Control-M and Cron jobs (on-premise/cloud).
- Strong software engineering principles including code optimization and scalability.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery and non-functional requirements.
- Leadership, communication skills, and ability to collaborate in diverse teams.
Tech Stack
Additional expertise required includes Backend engineering (Spring Boot, Liberty/TomCat), Microservices architecture, AWS infrastructure/DevOps, and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow. Industry-recognized certifications are preferred.
