UI/UX Designer at SentientGeeks in Salt Lake, Kolkata, West Bengal

SentientGeeks is expanding its product team and seeking a skilled and imaginative UI/UX Designer. This role is crucial for crafting intuitive, engaging, and user-focused digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into seamless and user-friendly interfaces. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, with a genuine passion for resolving real-world user challenges through innovative design.

We are specifically looking for applicants from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, or Odisha.

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Certification in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably within the IT or software sector.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating successful web and mobile application design projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Hands-on experience with wireframing, prototyping, and conducting usability testing.
• Familiarity with design systems, responsive design techniques, and accessibility standards.
• A basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and responsive layouts would be advantageous.
• The ability to effectively translate business needs into user-friendly and effective product experiences.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive user research, competitor analysis, and usability studies to deeply understand user needs and behaviors.
• Develop detailed user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Design adaptive and responsive interfaces suitable for both web and mobile applications.
• Engage in close collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing design systems and UI components.
• Ensure a high degree of consistency across all visual design elements, interaction patterns, and the overall user experience.
• Conduct thorough usability testing sessions and collect user feedback to iteratively refine and improve product designs.
• Drive continuous design improvements based on user insights, data analytics, and evolving product goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest UI/UX trends, emerging tools, and best design practices.

This is a Full-time position based in our office.
