UI/UX Designer - Pure Billion Technologies, Mumbai

Pure Billion Technologies is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer with 12 years of hands-on experience to join our team in Mumbai, India. This role is crucial for collaborating closely with our software development team to craft clear, logical, and scalable user experiences. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of user journeys, application states, and interaction flows, with the ability to translate complex system behaviors into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

We prioritize product thinking, clarity, and effective collaboration with engineers over purely aesthetic design or tool proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand system logic, workflows, and technical constraints.
• Design and document comprehensive user flows, screen transitions, and interaction patterns.
• Clearly define and design for all critical UX states, including loading, empty, error, success, disabled, and edge cases.
• Create detailed wireframes, UI designs, and interactive prototypes for both web and mobile products.
• Ensure designs are implementation-ready, providing clear specifications for engineering teams.
• Actively participate in design reviews and iterate based on user feedback and technical input.
• Maintain consistency across products by leveraging design systems and reusable components.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 12 years of experience in UI/UX design (full-time, internship, or contract roles).
• Strong foundational understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Proven ability to think holistically in terms of flows, states, and system behavior, not just isolated screens.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Comfortable and effective in explaining design decisions to engineers and stakeholders.
• Possesses logical, structured thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle feedback constructively.

AI & Tools Philosophy:

This role is AI-agnostic; a strong foundation in design thinking is paramount, irrespective of the tools used. AI tools may be utilized optionally, but the core design reasoning must stand on its own. We emphasize clarity, consistency, and effective problem-solving, rather than automation.

Good to Have:

• Basic understanding of frontend concepts, including components, responsiveness, and breakpoints.
• Experience designing complex form flows, validations, multi-step journeys, or dashboards.
• Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards.
