Role Overview

MavenArk is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with a specialization in Motion and Interaction to craft intuitive and engaging product experiences. You will be instrumental in bringing these designs to life through sophisticated motion design, enhancing user interfaces, micro-interactions, and in-app animations. Your work will focus on making complex financial workflows feel seamless, responsive, and human-centric. This role is at the critical intersection of product design and motion design, requiring close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers. The goal is to ensure that motion serves a purposeful function, is accessible, and is mindful of performance. As a key member of our expanding product team, you will play a vital role in defining the interactive and motion behavior across our platform and contribute to the development of a scalable design system.

Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end UI/UX designs for both web and mobile applications.
• Create motion-driven interactions designed to guide users, provide effective feedback, and minimize cognitive load.
• Design micro-interactions for various states such as loading, success, error, and empty states, as well as transitions.
• Implement in-app animations using tools like Rive or Lottie, ensuring smooth integration with engineering workflows.
• Produce interactive prototypes that effectively communicate user behavior and design intent.
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system, including establishing motion principles and interaction guidelines.
• Develop motion patterns that strike a balance between clarity, performance, and brand personality.

Qualifications:

• A compelling portfolio showcasing strong UI/UX design skills and a deep understanding of interaction and motion design principles.
• 14 years of professional experience in UI/UX or Product Design.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including layouts, components, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Demonstrated experience in creating motion graphics using Rive, Lottie, or comparable tools.
• A solid grasp of interaction design fundamentals, usability principles, and accessibility standards.
• The ability to think holistically about design systems rather than isolated screens.
• Comfort and experience collaborating with developers and adapting designs to technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate the rationale behind motion design choices, not just the mechanics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing motion specifically for product UX, beyond marketing animations.
• Familiarity with motion design handoff workflows, such as JSON/Lottie exports and Rive state machines.
• An understanding of performance optimization in real-world application environments.
• Prior experience working with finance, SaaS, or data-intensive products.
• A keen interest in refining motion principles as an integral part of a comprehensive design system.
• The skill to judiciously balance restraint with delight in animation, knowing when and when not to animate.
