UI/UX Designer

About the Product Designer Role

Motadata is seeking a dedicated Product Designer to take ownership of feature-level challenges within their B2B SaaS platform. This role involves transforming intricate workflows into user-friendly and intuitive product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage medium-complexity features from initial discovery through to final handoff.
• Convert ambiguous product requirements into clear user flows, interaction models, and polished user interfaces.
• Make well-reasoned decisions balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
• Deconstruct complex workflows into intuitive and usable user journeys.
• Design interfaces that prioritize clarity, especially for data-intensive and system-driven applications.
• Create comprehensive wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and detailed design specifications.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define and scope problems effectively.
• Advocate for a user-first approach and thoughtfully challenge existing assumptions.
• Work in partnership with the engineering team to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.
• Contribute to and expand the existing design system by identifying and implementing reusable patterns.
• Adhere to and promote accessibility and usability standards.
• Participate in early-stage discussions to help frame product problems.
• Conduct lightweight usability testing and gather user feedback as needed.
• Iterate on designs based on user input and product performance metrics.
• Strive for a balance between rapid execution and thoughtful design.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or a related technical field is required.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience designing digital products, with a preference for B2B SaaS environments.

Required Skills

• A strong foundation in UX principles, including information architecture, interaction design, and usability.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven experience in taking ownership of feature development, beyond just visual refinement.
• Demonstrated experience designing complex or data-heavy interfaces.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale.
• Proficiency in Figma.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with B2B, SaaS, or platform product design.
• Exposure to user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards.
• A basic understanding of front-end development constraints, including states, components, and system logic.
