UI Engineer

What you will do:

• Collaborate closely with designers from ServiceNow’s Design System and Platform design teams.
• Develop new concepts using wireframes, create high-fidelity mockups, write detailed documentation, and provide critical design assessments.
• Craft visuals that enhance storytelling and illustrate end-to-end processes.
• Gain firsthand experience of creative processes within an enterprise software environment.
• Further develop existing skills and acquire new ones.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's impact on the function or industry.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience using design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, or others.
• A strong understanding of user interface design principles, heuristic methods, usability evaluation techniques, perception, cognition, task analysis, experimental design, and statistics.
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies, including social networking and messaging information architecture, and other productivity applications.
• A willingness to learn and actively seek feedback and advice from peers.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a proactive approach through design thinking and execution.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and explain design decisions.
• A high level of initiative, a good sense of humor, and a “make it work” ethos are expected.
