UI Developer

Assent is seeking a Senior UI Developer with extensive expertise in Angular and front-end architecture to contribute to our platform's design system and reusable component library. You will collaborate with product designers and engineers to develop scalable, accessible, and thoroughly tested UI components.

Working within a high-trust CI/CD environment where every commit goes directly to production without a separate QA team, your code must be testable, reliable, and production-ready. You will assume full ownership of component quality, utilizing Playwright for end-to-end testing and Storybook for development and documentation.

Our front-end technology stack includes:

• Angular 19 within an Nx monorepo
• Bootstrap, integrated with our custom Meridian design system
• Storybook for interactive documentation and developer collaboration
• Playwright for automated end-to-end testing

We embrace modern technologies and continuously explore new tools to improve customer experiences. This role utilizes GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding and Figma/FigJam for design.

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into reliable and maintainable front-end code.
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements within our web applications.
• Assist in building and maintaining core UI elements, including navigation, theming, and menu systems.
• Support the integration of key front-end services such as authentication, authorization, and feature flagging.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality within a CI/CD environment.
• Work closely with designers to implement and extend components using our Meridian Design System.
• Focus on accessibility, performance, and responsive design to ensure an excellent user experience for all.
• Participate in code reviews, learning from peers and promoting a culture of clean, secure, and maintainable code.
• Adhere to secure coding practices aligned with Assent’s security standards.
