Full Job Description
Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled UI Developer in Pune, Maharashtra, India, to design, build, and create innovative and intuitive experiences for their customer portal, which will be built on Salesforce and other enterprise systems. As a UI Developer, you will collaborate with backend developers to ensure smooth data integration and functionality between the front-end and back-end.
Your primary responsibility will be to translate UI/UX designs into actual, functional code, primarily using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring the user experience and visual appeal are maintained. You will develop and implement user-friendly, responsive web and mobile interfaces, working closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers for seamless integration. Optimization for speed, scalability, and functionality across various devices is key. You will also conduct user interface and usability testing, ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency, validate technical feasibility of designs, and create functional documentation.
The role requires expertise in Salesforce suite, proficiency in building LWC components, and hands-on experience coordinating with UI/UX designers. You will stay updated on the latest trends in front-end development and UI design, demonstrating strong collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and creative skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or an advanced degree program, 5+ years of experience as a UI Developer, and prior experience as a UI/UX developer or web developer. Essential skill areas include expertise in HTML/CSS (Responsive design, Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (Async/await, modules, error handling), frameworks (Component lifecycle, state management), version control (Branching, pull requests, conflict resolution), design tools (Design tokens, component libraries), testing (Jest, Cypress, mocking APIs), accessibility (a11y), performance optimization, API integration, and soft skills such as communication and agile participation.
