UI Developer

Core Responsibilities & Technical Skills

We are seeking a skilled UI Developer with a strong command of front-end technologies. You should possess excellent knowledge and experience in HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS. Familiarity with mobile cross-browser frameworks such as jQuery Mobile, PhoneGap, and Titanium is highly desirable.

Your responsibilities will include participating in design meetings to formulate design strategies and documentation for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. You will be tasked with creating intuitive, user-centric, and interactive business flows for complex scenarios.

Adherence to agile methodologies for hands-on coding and iterative delivery is expected. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the development standards library with best-practice approaches to front-end coding, development techniques, and processes.

Proficiency in estimating task completion times and delivering quality work within deadlines is crucial.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

You must exhibit excellent collaborative and communication skills. Contribute to a high-energy, diverse team focused on continuous development improvement.

Adherence to standard quality development practices, including code versioning, manual/automated testing (e.g., Selenium), and coding standards, is mandatory.

Key Knowledge & Experience

Possess and apply knowledge of the latest tools, techniques, and business flows, including eCommerce workflows, AJAX frameworks, Agile Methodologies, and Responsive Web Flows.

Demonstrate a strong sense of creativity and a commitment to continuous learning, mentoring, and career development in line with organizational objectives.

Working knowledge of graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop/GIMP and vector illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator/Xara Xtreme is a plus. Experience with Adobe Flash/OpenLaszlo is also noted.

Strong knowledge of HTML/XHTML/HTML5 is essential.

Strong experience in responsive development is a must, with familiarity with frameworks like Zurb/Foundation 5/Bootstrap or similar.

Proficiency in CSS (Object-Oriented CSS, CSS3, transitions, transforms, keyframe animations) is required.

Exposure to HTML5 native features such as canvas, SVG animations, video/audio tags, local caching, WebSockets, and HTML5 graphics & animation capabilities is important.

Experience in writing cross-browser animations using CSS3 is mandatory, highlighting extensive knowledge of CSS3 capabilities.

Experience in enhancing user experience by bringing the internet closer to end-users is valued.

Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite.

Ability to work remotely and independently is expected.
