UI Developer

Banyan Software, in collaboration with its operating company ASI (Automated Systems, Inc.), seeks a skilled UI Developer with expertise in Angular to join our team in Chennai, India. This role is integral to developing and enhancing the user interfaces of our cutting-edge fintech solutions for community banks.

As a UI Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of intuitive and responsive web application interfaces. You will leverage modern UI frameworks, specifically Angular, and ensure high-quality implementation using Tailwind CSS for styling and PrimeNG components for rich UI elements. A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with backend developers, particularly those working with C# services and APIs, to ensure seamless integration of front-end components with server-side logic.

To maintain consistency, scalability, and facilitate efficient development, you will utilize Storybook for component documentation and visual testing. This position operates within an Agile development environment, requiring active participation in sprint planning, daily standups, and rigorous code reviews. A strong focus will be placed on optimizing UI performance, resolving cross-browser compatibility issues, and adhering to secure coding practices within the stringent compliance standards of the financial domain.

You will work directly with product owners to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional, user-friendly interfaces. Furthermore, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of reusable UI component libraries, supporting internal development teams. Continuous learning and staying updated with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for web applications using Angular and modern UI frameworks.
• Implement responsive and accessible designs leveraging Tailwind CSS and PrimeNG components.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI components with C# services and APIs.
• Utilize Storybook for component documentation and visual testing to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and code reviews.
• Optimize UI performance and troubleshoot cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and compliance standards in the financial domain.
• Work closely with product owners to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional interfaces.
• Maintain and enhance reusable UI components and libraries for internal development teams.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Approximately 4 years of professional experience in front-end development, including internships or academic projects.
• Proficiency in Angular and familiarity with component-driven development using Storybook.
• Strong knowledge of CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS and UI libraries like PrimeNG.
• Experience integrating front-end components with C#/.NET backends.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git) and development tools (Visual Studio, VS Code).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
