TypeScript Engineer
Full Job Description
About the Role
Position: Software Engineer, TypeScript — Codebase QA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $130 per approved task
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Select tasks from a pre-validated pool of TypeScript repositories.
- Navigate unfamiliar monorepos to understand subsystems, including relevant PR or issue history.
- Rewrite engineering questions so they defeat frontier coding agents while remaining well-defined and fairly answerable.
- Adjust rubrics and foils to reward correct reasoning and reject plausible-but-wrong answers.
- Run the full validation loop in Studio — Check, Golden, Run, Analyze — and iterate until every stage passes.
- Document work in the task README and submit for expert review, addressing reviewer feedback on returned tasks.
Qualifications
Must-Have: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial production TypeScript; ability to navigate large monorepos; fluency in advanced type systems, module resolution, bundlers, transpilers, and Node/browser runtimes; precise written English for crafting questions and rubrics; comfort with git at the commit level.
Preferred: Experience with developer tooling, compilers, test frameworks, GraphQL servers, or state machines.
Compensation & Legal
Paid per approved task. Every task is reviewed by a second engineer and a super reviewer before acceptance.
