About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Tunnel Design Head to lead the entire design lifecycle for our tunnelling projects. In this pivotal role, you will ensure all designs strictly meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage advanced tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley Systems (MicroStation), and STAAD.Pro to develop robust, validated tunnel designs.
• Spearhead quality control throughout the design lifecycle, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate seamlessly with geotechnical, structural engineers, and construction teams to integrate multi-disciplinary inputs into cohesive solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and risk assessments, proposing effective mitigation strategies for potential challenges.
• Drive innovation by adopting state-of-the-art tunnelling techniques that align with our environmental stewardship goals.
• Mentor a team of design engineers and drafters, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Lead review meetings with stakeholders to address feedback promptly and ensure project alignment.
• Develop and implement tailored design standards and procedures for tunnelling projects.
• Optimize project budgets and resources while ensuring smooth transitions from design to execution phases.
• Champion safety in design by identifying hazards early and incorporating robust safety features.
• Act as a technical advisor on complex issues, providing expert guidance to resolve challenges.
