EY's GDS Tax Technology team is seeking a Generative AI – Application Developer (.NET) for their practice in Bangalore and Kolkata, India. This role is within the Tax Service Line, focusing on the TTT team and pioneering new service offerings in Generative AI.

As a Senior Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Generative AI applications, including AI agents, plugins, interfaces, and APIs. You will ensure seamless integration with various systems, manage technical efforts, estimate work breakdown structures, identify and mitigate risks, and adhere to development methodologies and KPIs. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders, proactive expectation management, and collaborative problem-solving are crucial.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in full-stack application development using .NET C#, REST APIs, React or other TypeScript-based UI frameworks, and SQL databases. Advanced knowledge of Azure services (App Services, Functions, Entra ID), containerization (Docker, Azure Container Apps, AKS), No-SQL databases (Cosmos, Mongo DB), and source control (Git, TFVC) is required. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Generative AI development using Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and vector databases (Azure AI Search, Postgres) is essential. A fundamental understanding of LLMs, RAG techniques, classical AI/ML, and advanced prompt engineering is expected.

Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with AI Agents/Agentic workflow frameworks, Graph Databases (Neo4j), M365 Copilot Studio, and relevant Azure certifications (AI-900/AI-102).

To qualify, candidates should have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in software engineering, information technology, BE/B.TECH, and 5-9 years of overall experience. Thorough knowledge of the Tax or Finance Domain is also preferred.
