EY's GDS Tax Technology team in Chennai, India, is seeking a Full Stack .Net Developer – Tax Staff. This role is instrumental in developing, implementing, and integrating innovative technology solutions for our clients and engagement teams. As part of our core Tax practice, you will leverage deep tax knowledge and advanced programming skills to maintain and enhance our solutions.

This position is within the Solution Delivery pillar, focused on the end-to-end development and testing of solutions supporting the GDS Tax Practice. You will be a key contributor to a pioneering team, driving the growth of new service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new code components and modify existing Angular-based code according to specified requirements.
• Process large volumes of data, including handling large Excel files within the design and development lifecycle.
• Work with distributed data management and job processing architectures.
• Understand existing application infrastructure, platforms, and code management tools like DevOps and Azure portal.
• Analyze server logs to identify patterns, failures, and gain insights.
• Implement enhancements and debug issues reported by the Business team.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the codebase to contribute effectively to design, development, and debugging discussions.
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices in all development activities.
• Provide periodic status reports on work accomplished and milestones achieved.
• Manage the release process, including merging code repositories, resolving conflicts, completing releases, and performing basic sanity checks before handing over to QA or Business.
• Actively participate in requirement, design, and architecture discussions, clarifying doubts and summarizing outcomes.
• Engage in troubleshooting and issue discussion calls with stakeholders, providing code-centric resolutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant development experience in the technologies listed.

Preferred:

• Team management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Tax or Finance Domain.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt work style to collaborate effectively with both internal and client teams.
