Training Manager

El Paso, TX: Akima, through its subsidiary AGS, a company specializing in federal security solutions, is actively seeking a dedicated Training Manager. This crucial role involves the oversight and development of contractor-provided training programs essential for the operation and management of an ICE detention facility. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining robust training plans and curricula that ensure full compliance with NDS 2025 standards. The Training Manager will also be responsible for maintaining instructor certifications, developing and updating training programs to meet all contract-required training and certifications, and ensuring employee training aligns with NDS standards. Furthermore, the role demands meticulous documentation of all training activities, both administrative and within employee files. The Training Manager will develop and test employee proficiency through various assessment methods, confirm these results via on-the-job training and inspections, and manage specialized training programs such as Firearms Training and Disturbance Control Team (DCT) training, ensuring compliance with all relevant contract, state, and ICE policies. Maintaining the offsite training facility, ensuring organized storage, and accurate inventory are also part of the role. The successful candidate will be accountable for the correct documentation and maintenance of all training records for AGS and associated CEM staff. This is a full-time, onsite position.
