Worktual is seeking a Trainee Software Engineer with a focus on Python to join our team in Chennai. As a technology-driven organization, we specialize in providing comprehensive cloud communication solutions, including enterprise calling, call recording, messaging, file sharing, and video/audio conferencing. Cybersecurity is paramount to our operations, ensuring the protection of customer data, infrastructure, and communication systems.

This role is part of our initiatives within Worktual, specifically contributing to our advancements in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI (GenAI).

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who possess strong Python programming skills and a keen interest in emerging AI technologies. While this is a trainee position, candidates with demonstrable projects are highly encouraged to apply. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world AI solutions and cutting-edge GenAI applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models for business applications.
• Engage in research and experimentation with the latest ML/DL/GenAI techniques, frameworks, and research papers.
• Participate in preprocessing, cleaning, and managing large-scale datasets for training and evaluation.
• Support the optimization of models for performance, scalability, and cloud/edge deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
• Assist in monitoring model performance, detecting drift, and retraining models as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong foundational Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
• Exposure to deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.
• An understanding of supervised & unsupervised learning concepts, evaluation metrics, and hyperparameter tuning.
• Familiarity with deployment tools such as FastAPI is advantageous.
• Ability to write modular, reusable code.
• Freshers with strong academic projects in relevant areas are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates who can read, write, and speak at least one of the following languages are preferred: Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, or Gujarati.
