Threat Analyst

Jobgether is partnering with a leading cybersecurity firm to hire a Threat Analyst based in India. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity, safeguarding organizations against evolving threats in a global Managed Detection and Response (MDR) environment. You will investigate security incidents across endpoints, networks, clouds, and identity systems, contributing to proactive threat hunting and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and analyze escalated security alerts, identifying malicious activity and determining response actions across diverse environments.
• Conduct structured incident investigations to uncover root causes, lateral movement, and potential business impacts, including ransomware attacks.
• Perform malware analysis, deobfuscate scripts, and identify indicators of compromise (IoCs) using MITRE ATT&CK framework and adversary TTPs.
• Support 24/7/365 security operations with a rotational schedule, collaborating with senior analysts to improve detection playbooks.
• Analyze Windows/Linux logs, network traffic, and identity-related security events, ensuring compliance with cloud security and AD fundamentals.
• Document findings, provide remediation guidance, and communicate technical insights to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 4–6 years in SOC, MDR, or incident response roles with hands-on experience using EDR/SIEM tools.
• Strong expertise in ransomware attack methodologies, intrusion techniques, and adversary behaviors.
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux log analysis, malware analysis, and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCIH) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, communication, and ability to manage multiple investigations in a fast-paced environment.
