Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric - Noida, India

Thoughtsol Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their team in Noida, India. This permanent role focuses on leveraging Microsoft Fabric, including its advanced components like OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Warehouses. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with multiple data sources, possess a strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, and visualization to drive business reporting and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize core Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouses).
• Employ Fabric Copilot for data analysis, report generation, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards, integrating data from diverse sources.
• Connect, integrate, and transform data from various sources such as SQL databases, Excel files, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
• Construct and optimize robust data models, measures, and DAX calculations.
• Implement and enforce data accuracy, performance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and define reporting requirements.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and support for data and report-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Fabric Copilot.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modeling techniques.
• Proven experience working with multiple, varied data sources.
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure data services.
• Knowledge of SQL and fundamental data transformation techniques.
• Exposure to data governance and security principles.
• Microsoft Fabric / Power BI certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
