Join EY's Cloud Testing team in Kolkata, India, as a Staff Cloud Test Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of cloud solutions deployed on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will collaborate closely with Test Leads, developing and executing test strategies, designing test cases, and identifying opportunities for automation. Your responsibilities will include performing various types of testing such as platform, application, integration, and UAT. You will also manage test environments, data, and tools, execute tests, report progress, and manage defect resolution. Effective communication with team members across geographies and direct interaction with clients for status updates and issue resolution will be key. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud foundations, and cloud data platforms is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver testing services for cloud projects.
• Communicate effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
• Conduct Cloud Infrastructure testing and possess sound cloud concepts.
• Demonstrate knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Utilize experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Pipelines.
• Analyze requirements and provide feedback.
• Develop Test Strategies and Test Plans for cloud projects, including platform, application, integration, and UAT testing.
• Design and develop manual and automation test cases.
• Ensure test readiness, including environments, data, and tools.
• Execute tests, report progress, and manage defects.
• Prepare Test Reports and provide inputs for Test Sign-off.
• Support client meetings and provide status reporting.
• Contribute to test metrics analysis and improvement actions.
• Handle changes and perform regression testing.
• Co-coordinate with test and development teams.
• Interact with client stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Participate in providing Analytics and Advanced Analytics Testing trainings.

Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc degree.
• 2 to 6 years of overall experience in testing cloud solutions, with a minimum of 2 years on Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Cloud certifications are desirable.
• Exposure to Spark SQL / Hive QL testing is desirable.
• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud platforms is desirable.
• Understanding of business intelligence concepts, ETL processing, Data Warehousing, dashboards, and analytics.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Testing experience in Cloud foundation, DevOps, Data Quality, ETL, OLAP, or Reports.
• Proficiency with SQL scripting and experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
• Experience in backend testing of enterprise applications built on various platforms, including Microsoft .NET and SharePoint.
• Exposure to ETL testing using commercial ETL tools is desirable. Knowledge of SSRS, Spotfire, and SSIS is a plus.
• Exposure to Data Transformation Projects, database design concepts, and white-box testing is desirable.

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience with Test Automation and scripting in Perl & Shell is desirable.
• Experience with Test Management and Defect Management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA).
• Ability to function as an individual contributor and lead small teams.
• Capability to create Test Strategies and Test Plans for complex and high-risk cloud applications.
• Skills in designing test cases, test data, performing test execution, and reporting.
• Experience in Test Management for small projects.
• Participation in defect triaging and tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC and testing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Project Life Cycle and Test Life Cycle; CMMi and Process Improvement Frameworks knowledge is a plus.
• Readiness to take on both individual contributor and Team Leader roles.
