Test Automation Engineer

Goodyear is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in New Delhi, DL, India, to focus on building and automating business solutions. This role involves collaborating with business partners to specify, design, and develop solutions for Sales & Marketing initiatives. You will establish strong partnerships with IT peers, ensure technical ownership, and adhere to modern software development best practices and Goodyear standards. The position requires introducing technical acumen and experience to drive automation and efficiency, ensure code quality, and take accountability for data pipeline implementation and execution. Experience with cloud technologies is essential for provisioning and supporting environments with intelligent code. As a subject matter expert in data-driven application development, you will be involved in the full application development lifecycle, including Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Support, and Project Management. This role thrives in an open, collaborative, and inclusive culture within the Digital & Analytics teams, fostering cross-geographical and cross-team collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain applications for sales & marketing functions and custom applications supporting regional Sales & Marketing initiatives.
• Automate processes, including writing test automation, creating adequate documentation, and ensuring sustainability through high-quality development.
• Conduct code reviews and actively contribute to team deliverables.
• Support business partners and peers from the Customer Facing Applications team and the Digital & Analytics community in delivering digital products.
• Assist in requirement collection through continuous iteration during development phases.
• Continuously improve code quality through refactoring and technical debt reduction.
• Support pipeline continuity through active participation in monitoring and support processes.
• Analyze and address unforeseen process terminations, supporting business continuity by reviewing and upgrading code and processes to be error-free and minimize maintenance efforts.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Science.
• 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and engineering Application Development; Java experience is advantageous.
• 3+ years in Agile project development.
• 3+ years of experience building data models (conceptual, logical) and converting them into technical application designs.
• 2+ years of experience in integration and interfacing across various systems (legacy and modern), with SAP (especially Sales and Distribution module) being an advantage.
• Strong analytical and thinking skills.
• Ability to understand business processes.
• Storyboarding skills and the ability to translate them into logical flows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
