The Kentucky Lottery Corporation, a leader in funding education for Kentuckians, seeks a dynamic Territory Sales Manager in Hopkinsville, KY. This role is pivotal in driving lottery product sales at retail locations to maximize revenue. You will be responsible for cultivating strong retailer relationships, implementing strategic sales initiatives, and ensuring optimal product placement and promotion within your assigned territory.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing an account base to achieve sales quotas, analyzing sales data to identify improvement opportunities, and executing sales incentive plans. You will also train and support retail partners on best practices for lottery vending machines and product management, troubleshoot minor operational issues, and act as a crucial liaison between KLC, vendors, retailers, and players. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining inventory, resolving retailer issues, facilitating promotions, and developing new retail accounts. A commitment to professional business relationships and accurate bookkeeping methods for lottery tickets and funds is essential.
The role involves significant travel within the assigned region, potentially requiring flexible hours, including weekends. You will also be instrumental in onboarding and training new Territory Sales Managers, contributing to team projects, and managing expenses within budget.
