Telecom Site Technician

Role Overview

ViaPath Technologies seeks a skilled Telecommunication Technician (Site Admin) to join our Field Services team. This role offers largely independent responsibility for remedial repairs, preventive maintenance, system reliability, kiosk administration, and customer support at assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an Ambassador representing ViaPath with customers and clients to demonstrate Service Excellence.
• Manage overall service of ViaPath products at assigned customer sites and assist customers continuously.
• Prioritize, plan, and execute assigned service calls while communicating updates effectively.
• Escalate problems appropriately when necessary.

Tech & Facility Duties

• Install, replace telephony hardware, pull cable, mount network devices, and perform basic maintenance.
• Administer kiosk services: clear jams, deposit monies at financial institutions, manage collections.
• Perform wiring troubleshooting including tracing/repairing damaged wiring on 66-Blocks or Cutoff Switches.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot video visitation sessions with guidance from Technical Support as applicable.
• Audit tablet functionality, applications, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years related experience in troubleshooting, Windows OS, MS Office, Telephony, Networking (copper/CAT/fiber), and data cabling fabrication.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Work Environment

The role requires access to government agencies, jail, and prison environments. Candidates must adhere to stringent security guidelines at all times. Overtime work is expected as needed.
