TechOps NOC Engineer

Gainsight is seeking a full-time TechOps NOC Engineer to join our TechOps team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This hybrid role focuses on ensuring the reliability and stability of our production cloud infrastructure. As a TechOps NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for continuous system monitoring, responding to alerts, and performing initial troubleshooting to proactively detect and resolve issues. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a 24/7 operations environment and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including TechOps, Engineering, and other support tiers. The role requires strong skills in Linux system administration, infrastructure and application monitoring, and analytical troubleshooting within cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Gainsight's production cloud infrastructure utilizing industry-standard monitoring and alerting tools.
• Conduct Level 1 (L1) troubleshooting and implement remedial actions for infrastructure, system, and application alerts.
• Analyze, correlate, and interpret alerts from various monitoring sources to identify incidents and potential issues.
• Assess alert severity, prioritize incidents effectively, and execute response or escalation procedures according to established NOC protocols.
• Support Linux-based systems and provide basic troubleshooting for Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud-related challenges.
• Communicate proficiently with internal stakeholders and escalate issues to appropriate next-tier (L2/L3) teams as necessary.
• Participate in 24/7/365 rotational shift operations to ensure continuous monitoring and operational coverage.

Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on team and business needs. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training, or company events.

Qualifications:

• 1.5 to 2 years of relevant experience supporting production environments.
• Technical degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and open-source environments.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting alerts from multiple monitoring tools.
• Readiness to work in a 24/7/365 rotational shift environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• RHCE certification or equivalent Linux certification.
• AWS or other cloud certifications.
• Experience or exposure to Kubernetes (K8s) management and support.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience with database environments.
