As a Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Support Engineer with 3-6 years of experience, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Guidewire Policy Centre module. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining and supporting these systems, resolving production issues, and collaborating closely with business analysts, project managers, and fellow developers to ensure our policy administration systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Guidewire PolicyCenter Support and Maintenance for professionals with 3-6 years of experience.
- Design, build, support, and perform defect fixes for Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement necessary fixes.
- Manage enhancements and code changes.
- Be flexible to work in rotational shifts (India Shift, US Shift) and participate in on-call support on a rostered rotational basis.
- Engage in proactive monitoring of systems.
- Oversee the configuration and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Design, modify, and implement solutions within the Guidewire product suite.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Possess a deep understanding of the Guidewire framework, specifically Policy Center, including its architecture, components, and implementation best practices.
- Hold a Guidewire PolicyCenter 9.0 version or higher technical/functional/cloud certification.
- Demonstrate proficiency in development streams, including Configuration, Integration, or both.
- Have hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies, including web services and API integration.
- Bring experience in production support activities such as queue management, addressing plug-in related issues, and managing batch file generations.
- Be adept with tools like Service-now, JIRA, soap-ui, eclipse IDE, SVN, and Jenkins.
- Understand service management and change management processes, including SLAs and estimator tools.
- Have prior experience working in shifts and providing on-call support.
- Be experienced in incident management and problem management.
- Possess knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle, including release planning and management.
- Exhibit working knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and ANT.
- Demonstrate strong SQL skills, and experience with Spring, Hibernate, Castor, and any Enterprise Messaging System.
- Show strong knowledge and experience with Tomcat and/or WebSphere/WebLogic.
