Guidewire Policy Center Support Engineer - Senior
At EY, we are seeking a Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Support Engineer with 6-8 years of experience to join our CloudOps team in Kolkata, India. This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Guidewire Policy Centre module. You will be instrumental in resolving production issues, ensuring our policy administration systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. Collaboration with business analysts, project managers, and other developers is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and maintenance for Guidewire PolicyCenter (6-8 years of experience).
- Design, build, support, and perform defect fixes.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement solutions.
- Develop enhancements and implement code changes.
- Be flexible to work in shifts (Rotational India and US Shifts) and participate in on-call support on a rotational basis.
- Perform proactive monitoring of systems.
- Manage Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration and Integration.
- Design, modify, and implement solutions within the Guidewire product suite.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- In-depth understanding of the Guidewire PolicyCenter framework, including architecture, components, and implementation.
- Possess Guidewire PolicyCenter 9.0 version+ technical/functional/cloud certification.
- Proficiency in development streams: Configuration, Integration, or Both.
- Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, including web services and API integration.
- Experience in production support activities such as queue management, plug-in related issues, and batch file generation.
- Familiarity with tools like Service-now, JIRA, soap-ui, Eclipse IDE, SVN, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of service management, change management activities, SLAs, and estimator tools.
- Experience working in shifts and providing on-call support.
- Proven experience with incident management and problem management.
- Knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle, including release planning and management.
- Working knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and ANT.
- Strong SQL skills, along with experience in Spring, Hibernate, Castor, and any Enterprise Messaging System.
- Solid knowledge and experience with Tomcat and/or WebSphere/WebLogic.
