Full Job Description
EY is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with strong React.js expertise to join our support team for Takeda. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing front-end applications to ensure high availability and a seamless user experience. You will collaborate with product, platform, architecture, data, and foundational teams to resolve incidents, enhance system stability, and improve application performance. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in front-end development and application support, with a focus on React.js. Experience with Python and AWS is advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to work within a 24x7 support model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for React.js front-end applications.
- Monitor application health, resolve issues, and ensure optimal user experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production incidents related to UI performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with back-end developers and DevOps teams for seamless API integrations.
- Investigate and resolve application errors, including JavaScript, network, and API issues.
- Manage incident response, ensuring swift resolution of application downtimes.
- Coordinate with application owners on minor enhancements, translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement performance optimizations and recommend best practices for front-end applications.
- Maintain documentation for known issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Support deployment activities and manage version control for front-end applications.
- Take ownership of support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Troubleshoot major and recurring incidents, and contribute to Root Cause Analysis.
- Identify opportunities for automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Escalate complex issues to higher support levels for swift resolution.
Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in front-end application support and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Redux, React Hooks, and component lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and handling API failures in React applications.
- Good understanding of browser debugging tools, performance profiling, and logging.
- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to analyze logs, error messages, and network traffic for issue resolution.
- Proven experience in a Production Support environment, with readiness for a 24x7 support model.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles.
- Proactive learner, eager to cross-skill and advance in an innovative team environment.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Knowledge of Relational SQL databases is a plus.
- Experience with Python for scripting and automation is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like S3 and API Gateway is a plus.
- ITIL 4 Foundation Level Certification is a plus.
- Experience with Databricks/ETL processes.
