Technology Support II - Market Data Distributed Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated Technology Support II professional to join our Market Data Distributed Support team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our critical market data systems. Your responsibilities will include proactive monitoring, diligent troubleshooting of issues related to market data feeds, applications, and underlying infrastructure, and collaborating effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve data discrepancies and system outages promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support market data systems for peak availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues concerning market data feeds, applications, and infrastructure.
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve data discrepancies and outages.
• Maintain and update market data configurations, entitlements, and user permissions.
• Support the integration of new data sources and the onboarding of market data into various platforms.
• Provide essential technical support and training to end-users on market data tools and applications.
• Conduct regular audits to guarantee data accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for market data processes, procedures, and support activities.
• Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and advancements in market data technologies and services.
• Actively participate in projects focused on market data enhancements and system upgrades.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in market data support or a comparable role within the financial services sector.
• A strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and various market data products.
• Proficiency with key market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with data feed technologies and protocols, including FIX and APIs.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration.
• The ability to work autonomously and as a contributing member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• A meticulous, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience utilizing scripting or programming languages like Python or SQL for data analysis and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data services and platforms.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements pertaining to market data usage and distribution.
