Technical Support Engineer - Bhiwandi, Mumbai
ManpowerGroup is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Engineer for a full-time, office-based role in Bhiwandi, Mumbai, working 5.5 days a week. This opportunity is with a reputable client in the security and access management industry.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in providing first-level (L1) technical assistance to users via phone, email, and remote sessions. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and network-related issues. You will manage support tickets, perform remote installations and configurations, and assist with basic troubleshooting. Collaboration with software development and senior support teams will be key for issue resolution. You will also support customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), general testing, and production phases. Maintaining accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and frequently asked questions is also part of the role. On-site visits may be required as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1 technical support via phone, email, and remote sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues.
- Log, track, and update support tickets using the ticketing system or support call sheet.
- Perform remote installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with software development and senior support teams for issue resolution.
- Assist customers during UAT, testing, and production support.
- Maintain proper documentation for issues, resolutions, and FAQs.
- Support on-site visits if required.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS and networking concepts (IP, LAN, WAN).
- Basic understanding of databases such as MS SQL and MySQL.
- Familiarity with software applications and troubleshooting techniques.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Access Control, Biometric, or VMS systems is a strong plus.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience with remote support tools like AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or WebEx.
- Awareness of ITIL or general support processes.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE / BTech / BSc / BCA / MCA in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
