Technical Support Engineer

Join a high-impact, high-visibility support team at Dremio, powering enterprise customer deployments on Linux, Kubernetes, and major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role involves troubleshooting complex production issues, close collaboration with engineering, and directly influencing the customer experience of Dremio's SQL lakehouse platform.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve L2 technical support cases for Dremio deployments across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments, including pods, services, Helm charts, logging, and storage, coordinating with cluster administrators as needed.
• Provide support for cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, and GCP, encompassing VPCs, IAM, object storage, and networking configurations.
• Analyze SQL queries and workloads, interpret query execution plans, and recommend performance tuning or configuration adjustments.
• Escalate, reproduce, and resolve critical issues in collaboration with L3/L4 support, engineering, and product teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure strong Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in technical support with hands-on Linux, Kubernetes, or Cloud experience.
• Proficiency in Linux command line, shell scripting, log analysis, and system monitoring.
• Experience with production Kubernetes environments, including pods, deployments, services, Helm, and kubectl.
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) covering compute, storage, networking, and basic security principles.
• Familiarity with data platforms and databases, understanding relational data concepts, and experience with BI tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-impact teams focused on solving real-world customer problems.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation and tooling.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Observe.
• Relevant certifications in Linux, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (e.g., RHCE, CKA, AWS/Azure/GCP Associate).
