- Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, fostering professional development while actively contributing to development tasks to set an example.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable systems that support our product offerings and significantly improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with customers, product managers, architects, and team members to transform requirements into impactful solutions that deliver measurable customer value and operational improvements.
- Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and promote a culture of collaboration and thorough code reviews to ensure the delivery of clean, efficient, and maintainable code, enhancing long-term site performance and minimizing operational issues.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous innovation and improve solution outcomes.
- Establish clear outcome-oriented objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team, ensuring alignment with customer success metrics and company objectives.
- Operate within an Agile/Scrum framework, actively participating in sprint planning and contributing to the successful delivery of sprint goals with a focus on value creation rather than output volume.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and user guides, prioritizing usability and support for successful real-world site operations.
- Manage performance, hiring, and onboarding processes for new team members, cultivating a team culture centered on impact, ownership, and customer success.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of extensive experience in software design and development, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a team leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated hands-on coding proficiency, with the ability to contribute to critical software modules and guide team members through code reviews and paired programming.
- Proven track record of delivering software solutions that achieve tangible business outcomes, beyond mere feature completion.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles, system design, and architectural best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot and Spring MVC).
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including strong SQL skills.
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and best DevOps practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the capacity for effective collaboration across diverse teams and with clients.
